Doug Griggs from WindowRama’s Commack showroom was approached by Designer Chastity Centeno of Riese Design, Inc., regarding a project she was working on for the TV show George to the Rescue. Contractor George Oliphant provides beautiful and meaningful renovations for deserving families in need. The show airs on NBC New York.
After 17 year old Maggie Schmidt passed away from cancer, her parents Donna and Steven started Maggie’s Mission in her honor. Maggie’s Mission has raised nearly $1 million for cancer research and to support other families facing similar challenges.
Maggie’s Mission is run out of the sunroom in the front of the Schmidt’s home. The windows were old and fogged, and the space is in need of new energy, organization, and inspiration. Enter George to the Rescue!
WindowRama, along with Andersen Windows & Doors, donated eight new High Performance Tilt-Wash Windows to the project.
The renovation is slated to be completed by the end of the month and the episode is due to air this Fall. WindowRama team members Joe Fiorilla and Sharon McGovern delivered the windows and provided a shout-out for WindowRama and Andersen Windows on camera.
